Winter datang lagi. Kali ni winternya tak sesejuk tahun lepas. The weather is just nice to hold a gathering (again) on the rooftop. Asyik-asyik buat BBQ, kali ini kaum ibu suggest untuk tukar sikit menu. Kali ini kita tukar jadi Malam Steamboat @ Sri Wangi. Sejuk-sejuk begini memang sedap makan sup-sup. Dari pandangan kasar, nampaknya Malam Steamboat kaum ibu telah berjaya. Makanan disapu bersih dan penghuni dan tetamu yang hadir pulang ke rumah dengan perut kekenyangan. Lain kali boleh buat lagi ya. Terima kasih diucapkan untuk semua penghuni Sri Wangi yang ternyata memang best-best semuanya. Pinjam sat slogan Cordoba Compound, “IT’S HOME AWAY FROM HOME”. Cooking Magazine, Scrapbook project, angan-angan ku.

We and a couple of families went to the Old City of Diriyah yesterday. One dessert trip eh bukan .. desert trip hehe, that does not require a 4WD. I would love to come again since we didn’t explore that much area when we were there yesterday. Will definitely ajak Encik Suami to come again when winter comes.

I had a great time shooting the photos despite Princess Cry Baby Sabrina being very grumpy the whole trip (actually the whole day). Due to one hand holding her hands and the other holding the camera, forgive me for the photos I took are a bit blurry and not well focused. And since fotopages are down again, I can’t share them with you now .. haha.

The ruins of the old city of Diriyah lay on either side of the narrow valley known as Wadi Hanifa, which continues southwards through Riyadh and beyond. Consisting almost entirely of mud-brick structures, the ruins are divided into three districts, Ghussaibah, Al-Mulaybeed, and Turaif, set on top of hills overlooking the valley. Of the three, Turaif is the highest, and it’s bottom is easily accessible to tourists by foot. Part of the city wall, running along the edges of the wadi and also made of mud-bricks, are still extant along with some short observation towers.

The modern city is built at a lower altitude at the foot of the hill upon which Turaif is located. To the north of the town, inside the valley, are a number of gardens, palm groves, and small farms and estates. A dam known as Al-Ilb lies further north.

Today the school held the International Day in the kids’ school. The theme was In the Sea … or something haha. Uzair was the baby fishy and Ammar was the pirate with moustache and all. It was held in the new gymnasium. It was dark unlike all what I imagined. Read : Not like the gym in the high school musical. (Ok .. too much Disney Channel for me .. haha).

The photos were taken in a sitting position infront of the stage. Nak bangun takut kena marah dengan Cikgu Besaq. I was intimidated by the fellow who sat next to me because he had this big canggih lense and mine look puny compared to his. Encik Suami ini adalah message halus for you … huhuhu. Balik Msia nanti paham-paham ye … hehehe.

Petang tadi lepas Asar kami bawa anak main kat Playground lagi. Mula-mula tak bawa kamera. Halfway budak-budak main, abahnya tanya tanak tangkap gambar ke. So kita pun balik la kejap pergi ambik kamera. Pakkal tak jauh dari rumah palyground tu. Tak pandai lagi nak tangkap gambar. Banyak yang gelap. Dah lama main sandstorm pun datang. Takla ribut mana sikit je. Tapi nampak berjerubu juga pemandangan mata ni. Sandstorm ni pasirnya halus. Tidak la macam pasir pantai tu ... hehe ... that was what I thought before I came here.

Hari ni sungguh berangin kat luar. Bunga-bunga bertaburan atas laman. While waiting for budak-budak balik sekolah kat depan pintu rumah, kita main snap-snap gambar lagi. Ok tak?
